Latest Nvidia Driver Adds Optimizations For RTX 3070, Watch Dogs: Legion

In preparation for the release of Watch Dogs: Legion and the launch of its RTX 3070 GPUs, Nvidia has released the latest Game-Ready Driver for its range of graphics cards on PC.

The driver ensures you have the best possible performance for Ubisoft’s latest open-world titles, which should work well with a patch that is set to launch for Legion tomorrow to improve performance issues experienced by reviewers on PC. In addition to Watch Dogs, the latest driver also adds optimizations for Ghostrunner, Dirt 5, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, and Xuan-Yuan Sword VII.

The RTX 3070 is also meant to benefit from the new driver on its launch day, but with stock almost instantly selling out as soon as the card hit shelves it might just serve as a reminder of the purchase you couldn’t make.

The update also provides G-Sync certification to four new monitors. Nvidia has been supporting FreeSync monitors for a while now while it continues to test and approve new and existing monitors that it feels deliver a good G-Sync experience through software. Joining the list are the Acer XB323U GX, Asus VG279QL1A, Dell AW2521HFLA, and Gigabyte AORUS FI25F.

Nvidia has also added game optimization support on its Geforce Experience platform for the following titles, allowing you to optimize settings based on your hardware with one click.

The Geforce Game Ready 457.09 WHQL driver is out now and can be downloaded through Geforce Experience or via a direct link here.
