Corey Feldman is remembering his favorite artist John Lennon on the fortieth anniversary of the Beatles‘ singer’s death. After sharing his heartfelt sympathies to John’s widow, Yoko Ono, and sons Julian and Sean Lennon, he shared his cover of one of John Lennon‘s most beloved songs “Working Class Hero.”
John Lennon was murdered during the evening hours of December 8, 1980, when Mark David Chapman opened fire on the peace activist and musician while outside his New York home at The Dakota. Chapman’s motivation included his dissatisfaction with song lyrics and that John Lennon had once said that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus Christ. Chapman also had delusions regarding the book “The Catcher in the Rye” by J.D. Salinger.
Corey Feldman stated the following as he remembered John Lennon on his official Twitter account.
A WORKING CLASS HERO REMEMBERED 40 YEARS LATER! #RIPJOHNLENNON THOUGH I NEVER HAD THE CHANCE 2 MEET HIM, IVE MET BOTH @JulianLennon & #SEANLENNON ON MANY OCCASIONS. MY HEART IS WITH THEM & YOKO @PaulMcCartney & @ringostarrmusic 2DAY

John Lennon remains one of the most iconic, powerful voices in human history. The Beatles were groundbreakers and John Lennon used his voice and notoriety to try and instill peace around the world. His message and activism live on and Yoko Ono continues to be a political and peace activist.
